Below is a List of manufacturing Equipment recently serviced by Mobile Hose Fixers and Hydraulics

Hydraulic Brake Presses

press brake, also known as a brake press, is a machine tool used for bending sheet and plate material.  Brake presses are most commonly used for bending sheet metal.  The Press Brake forms the required bend by clamping the material or work piece between a matching punch and die.

Hydraulic Punch

Hydraulic punch presses, is a type of machine press used to cut holes in material.  It can be small and manually operated and hold one simple die set, or be large, and computer controlled, with a multi-station turret holding  much larger and complex die sets.

Hydraulic punch presses use high pressure oil to actuate a large cylinder rather than a flywheel.  They are either valve controlled or valve with limit switch and or pressure switch control.  Limit switch systems allow the ram to be controlled to within fixed points as commanded.  This allows greater control over the stroke of the ram, and increases punching rates as the ram no longer has to complete a full stroke up and down but can operate within a very short stroke length.

Materials Handling Equipment

Material handling equipment is equipment that is used in the movement, storage, control and protection of materials, goods and products throughout the process of manufacturing, distribution, consumption and disposal.

Material handling equipment is either mechanically or hydraulically operated and is generally separated into four main categories: Storage and Handling equipment, Engineered Systems, Industrial trucks, and Bulk handling.

Examples of hydraulic Materials handling equipment and systems we have serviced include.

Mobile Canes, Crane trucks Hiab, Palfinger, Mini Crawler Cranes, Forklifts, Manitou, Screw and Belt conveyors, Air Conveyors, Dust extraction, Bin lifters, Stationary and Mobile Compactors, Scissor Lifts, Tailgate Loaders, Cherry Pickers, Avocado pickers.

Mobile Hose Fixers and Hydraulics regularly assemble install or replace  High, Low and Negative (Vacuum) pressure hoses as well as High, Low and Ultra Low Temperature hoses designed for Steam, Hot Oil or Refrigeration Applications especially for the Food and Chemical industries.

We have also assisted in the design supply and installation of high pressure pumps, stainless steel piping and distribution systems for clean environments as well as the cleaning of marine vessels.

High Pressure Water Blasting, Cleaning  Machinery

High-pressure cleaning or waterblasting, describe the use of water pumped at high speeds and sometimes high temperatures to clean surfaces and materials. By focusing and pressurizing the water stream, the force generated can remove materials such as paint from walls, floors and roads, metal and rubber from highways and runways, sealants and membranes from concrete and chewing gum from footpaths.

We have also assisted in the design supply and installation of high pressure electric and gasoline pumps, stainless steel piping and distribution systems for food manufacturing as well as the cleaning of marine vessels, Plumbing, Drain Cleaning and Clearing, Pipe relining and Building industries.

Roll Forming

Roll forming, also spelled roll-forming, is a continuous bending operation in which a long strip of sheet metal usually in the form of coiled galvanized steel is passed through sets of rolls mounted on consecutive frames or stands, each set performing only an incremental part of the bend, until the desired cross-section profile is obtained. Roll forming is ideal for producing constant profile parts in long lengths and in medium to high quantities.  Mobile Hose Fixers and Hydraulics have supplied Hydraulic Components,  motors, hoses and custom cylinders for this specialised field.

Mandrel Tube and Pipe Bending

Tube bending is the processes used to permanently form pipes or tubes such as those used in Automotive exhaust assemblies or in the manufacture of railings or architectural structures.  Round pipe or tube  is usually used in bending.  However, square and rectangular tubes and pipes may also be bent to meet job specifications.  Other factors that need to be taken into consideration before bending tube or pipe is the material of construction and wall thickness.  Mobile Hose Fixers and Hydraulics can provide support for choosing Lubricants, Hydraulic oils and Fluid transfer hoses for these tough applications.

Injection Moulding (Plastic and Materials)

Injection moulding is a manufacturing process for producing parts by injecting material into a mould.  Injection moulding can be performed with a host of materials, including metals, glass, elastomers, plastics, confections, polymers.  Material for the part is fed into a heated barrel, mixed, and forced into a mould cavity by a specially machined hardened steel screw, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the cavity.

Aluminium and iron casting / Foundries

We have supplied high pressure magnetic (induction) resistant hoses to foundries that produce iron and aluminium metal castings.  Metals are cast into shapes by melting them into a liquid, pouring the metal in a mold, and removing the mold material or casting after the metal has solidified as it cools.

Post forming  pressure and vacuum processes.

Mobile Hose Fixers and Hydraulics have made repairs and supplied  various  transfer equipment used in post forming and vacuum forming processes.  This includes the lamination of composite materials and the injection of specialty adhesives.

Stone Masons, Cutting, Crushing..

This refers to the activity of masons using hydraulic powered saws to cut large sandstone blocks from the ground and then dressing or smoothing these stone blocks for use in architecture, construction and or retaining walls.

Quarries in and around the Gold Coast produce dimension stone or crushed rock or stone and there are companies that crush and recycle concrete as well.

Most quarries can produce either crushed stone or dimentional.  However, the stone first shattered by heavy blasting must be removed. Dimension stone is separated by more precise and delicate techniques, such as the use of diamond wire saws, diamond belt saws, burners (jet-piercers), or with light and selective blasting with weak explosives.

Concrete Cutting

concrete saw also known as a con-saw or road saw) is a usually a fuel powered tool for cutting through concrete, bricks, tile, asphalt or any other solid material.  It can be a small and hand held unit or a larger walk behind motorized saw.  Usually the hand held units are powered by a remote hydraulic power pack.  This makes the saws particularly powerful and yet quite compact.  The saw blades used on concrete saws are often composite diamond Blades

Thin Abrasive wheels can also be used on cut-off saws to cut stone and steel. The friction generated in cutting hard substances like concrete usually requires the blades to be cooled to prolong their life and reduce dust.

Concrete, Stone and Composites Grinding and Polishing

Specialised surface finishes for benches, platforms and showroom floors can now be cast in pourable composite materials that harden in only a few hours.  These are gaining popularity as just about any colour and pattern can be poured and cast into shapes such as custom shaped benchtops and then ground and polished to a particularly spectacular and attractive finish.

Concrete grinders come in many configurations, the most common being a hand-held angle grinder but it may be a specialized tool designed for floors manufactured  from marble, granite or composite  concrete.  Three, 6 and 12 head planetary grinders are also available to speed up the grinding and polishing process of large areas such as showrooms.

Machines that grind concrete floors are usually made to handle much more stress and will have more power to drive the unit as concrete has a much higher friction than marble or granite which is also ground and polished worked wet, therefore with less friction.

All concrete grinders use some sort of abrasive materials to grind and or polish the most common materials are industrial diamond and or silicon carbide.

Concrete is usually ground dry for convenience, because it can be done with fewer people than wet grinding, although a very fine filter-equipped vacuum systems and hoses are required  to trap the fine dust produced.  Fine concrete dust contains silica which is very harmful to the lungs and can lead to silicosis so great effort should be made to avoid breathing concrete dust.
